It seems that around every corner, there's an opportunity to eat poorly - especially during the summer months. Potato chips, smores, cakes, cookies, pies and more all make an appearance at family barbeques and parties.

Why not offer something that is both tasty and healthful this weekend?

My favorite thing right now is grilling fruit. It's easy and a huge crowd pleaser.

Try brushing halved peaches, sliced pineapples, or apples with honey and grilling them. Serve with low fat frozen yogurt and toasted nuts. Trust me, you'll love it and so will your guests.

Moms, what are your favorite low cal, healthy desserts?

We grill pineapples, peaches, and bananas. Haven't tried apples or pears, but I think that will be next.

I have a strawberry pie, that's jelled, like Big Boy's, and it's delicious and low cal too.

We eat a lot more fresh fruit in the summer. I just got a recipe for lemon sorbet I'm going to try.
