I tested a kitchen hint for "boiling" eggs

I decided I needed to try this. I did just one egg, so I put it in an individual little bread pan instead of the muffin pan, preheated the oven to 325 and baked for 27 minutes. I was truly surprised at the results. It peeled easily until the last little bit, which pulled off, but still pretty good. It had two little brown spots that I assume were where the egg touched the pan? These wouldn't really be unsightly, even for deviled eggs, they could be hidden. They had a good texture and tasted fine. This was probably not a compete test since only one egg was used, but it sure was easy. I think I will try this next time I need boiled eggs.

Thanks for posting!  I haven't tried this yet but nice to know that it worked for you.

I didn't take a photo of the inside, since it was no different than an egg that had been boiled.
