What's your favorite thing that your mom made when you were growing up? Do you make it for your kids?

My favorite things my mom made for us where fried chicken, and crescent dogs.

My best friend growing up mom made fried potatoes, green bean casserole and the best iced fudge brownies in the world. :)

Pot roast with potatoes, carrots, onions and celery.  This was a typical meal for after church on Sunday.  The leftovers went into vegetable beef soup for Sunday supper.  I haven't made this in a while, but made it often (not just Sunday) when the kids were little.

I don't even remember the meals we ate as kids.  To many years ago.

My mom made those too. I make them occasionally.

take away. That women could not cook.

But my nan could. So hers would be roast lamb or chicken.

There are so many, but I really love her beef stew.  I am so glad I asked her how to make it, our family loves it.  My Mom passed away last year so everytime I make it, it makes me think of her.
