i actually hoped there would be more people. I'm new to raw foods. so new i'm not completely eating raw. i hoped to be able to get ideas and recipes for me and my 2 yr old to eat. right now i only have broccoli and carrots in the fridge. so i know i need to do some shopping but i don't know for what because we have not been big veggie eaters and i'm trying to change that.

anyways here is my intro...

I'm Misty, I've been with my husband for almost 10 yrs. we have 6 kids 5 girls and 1 boy... before i'm asked hubby says this is the last one but he has said that with the last 2 kids. so probably not. I'm a SAHM and love every minute of it. I've been thinking about studying midwifery but i don't want to be in my 40's when i'm finished with class. but i'm still thinking abut looking into it own my own for my kids. I also research herbs and natural living. there is a lot of health problems with my parents that i would like to avoid.

well i don't know what else to tell so if you want to know something feel free to ask me.

Welcome Misty! So far it looks like a party of 2, but we can make it a fun party. :) I am currently marinating tempeh to put in the dehydrator to make tempeh jerky. If the recipe works out, I will post it for you!

I've been trying to go raw for years and it looks like I have finally made it. I eat raw as much as I can, but do eat steamed veggies and tofu if I go out to eat (makes life easier when eating with those who don't eat the same way.).

actually i had left because of no response. i'll try and let people now this group is here. i'll post about it for you in my groups.  I'm trying to switch slowly because i'm still breastfeeding and don't want to go into a complete detox while i'm nursing my son. i'm slowing down my meat intake and eating more veggies.. but i have to find something for spinach. tonight i mixed it with mashed potatoes usually i eat it on my burgers and anything else i usually eat lettuce on.
