Reality Check

Sometimes I just want to pull my hair out and scream! KWIM?

We're behind them 100%, they'll be moving & renting the basement suite of the house we're renting.

They don't want a room mate (to help them with rent - and he's a good friend) because they want their *own* place. They want to move in September (she lives with her dad right now) instead of October, even though they could save $600 in rent.......

The kicker??? Neither have friggin jobs or money!!! I tried telling my DS yesterday that they'll need to bring in about $1200-1500 a month to survive, and he says I'm *pressuring* and *stressing* him out.

He's looking for work, but doesn't want to do *labour* work, which is the only thing he's qualified for and the only thing that may be more the minimum wage. He doesn't want to work over the bridge.....blah blah blah.

He was working for a temp service and made a few hundred $, which he's put into buying baby stuff, but still I think they BOTH need a reality check.

If I try to bring things like that up, him and I butt heads and end up fighting, which in turn stresses us all out.

As a mother that is a hard decision. Maybe they need that good dose if reality. Sometimes as parents we have to love enough to let them fall on their butts, but we will be there for the guidance .

Very true. But that also means  we need to come up with a extra $600 rent if they dont' have it.

The rest I'm going to let them live and learn
