Tell me your daughter's name and what made you choose it?
My daughter is Taylor Nicole....I was obsessed with the Bold and the Beautiful and thought Taylor was soooo dramatic of a name...I think it was the way they always said it and then stared out into soap opera land...lol!!
BTW..she HATES her name and wishes I'd chosen one of the others I was considering...go figure!
My oldest daughter's name is Kamielle Simone. I've just always loved the name Camille which means perfect/virginal/unblemished character. I spelled it with a K because her dad's first name begins with the letter K. I wanted to end it with 'ielle' to give it the elle sound instead of the ill sound. I've also always liked the name Simone which means it is heard/one who hears and it works out that my name begins with the letter S. When it came to naming our second daughter it was days before she was born. My husband and I were hanging out in Borders and I was looking at a book of baby names. I wanted to go along with the same theme of using the letter K for the first name and the letter S for the second name. So, I was looking through all of the K names and came upon Kamana. It means desire in Sanskrit or Hindi. I pitched to my husband and he liked it. I love that I have never heard nor seen the name before. Her middle name is Shayna which means beautiful.
Oldest: McKenna Elizabeth - We chose it because we knew that we wanted an "M" name and I knew that I wanted an Irish/Scottish/Gaelic name and yet we wanted something that wasn't common. I was just reading through a bunch of "M names and came to this one and we both knew it was IT. Elizabeth is a family name and I knew I wanted to carry it on.
Middle: McKaela Elise - When I was pregnant with McKenna and we had already named her my husband said that if we had a girl the next time he wanted to name her McKaela. It was before the name was SO common, in between the slump, and he had never really heard it. He didn't know anyone with that name or anything. Elise we chose because we knew we wanted to keep the M.E. name and he was working nights at the time and one night I was, once again reading through a bunch of "E" names and came across Elise and fell in love. When he got home in the morning I brought it up to him and he stopped and looked at me and was like "Did I tell you that already?" I was like "what? no." We had come up with THE name at the same time and we were not even together.
Youngest: Maisie Eve - My husband actually liked the name Maisie first but I wasn't sold. I fought and fought for another name and he finally reliquished. Then while he was working one night (still working nights) I was in the shower and the name Maisie came back to me and hit me like a ton of bricks. I had to wait for him to get home and I was like "So...um...I changed her name..." LOL Eve we both just loved and thought that it fit perfectly.
Very inspiring.

OK just noticed this thread and really I love to talk about the name I've picked out. I'm 6 months pregnant atm but still :P So my daughters name will be Ella Gale. Ella is taken from my DH mother's name Louella and Gale is my mother's middle name. My mother passed in 2009 from breast cancer, Lou is fighting lymphoma now. So girl power, she's got the name of two strong strong women! <3 it!
Her name is Aubrey. I chose it because i felt totally stumped over girl names. At that time Danity Kane was big, which Aubrey O'Day was part of. She was my favorite and i realized I liked the name Aubrey :)
My first daughter is named Amelia Dannielle. I heard Amelia and just liked it. We call her Aimee for short. I love the spelling, somewhat unique but not made up. Her middle name is after my dear childhood friend who passed away suddenly when she was 21.
My second daughter is Allison KayAnn. We call her Allie. I don't particular like Allison, but my husband does so I went with it. Kay is his Grandma's middle name and Ann is my Grandma's middle name.
