What kinds of books do you encourage your children to read?

Right now, anything that interests him. Brayden seems to like mysteries so I have been reading him Bobbsey Twins, Magic Tree House and he also wants to get some of the Hardy Boys books.

My 2 young ones don't know how to read yet. My older was into the wimpy kid diary series. :)

Chapter books for my daughter, she's 9.

Right now I just encourage her to read anything. She is 3 and most of the books she chooses are like dr suess, llama llama books, things like that

I let them pick out their kinds of books as long as it isn't anything trashy or violent.

my oldest is 5, so she isn't quite reading yet, she is just starting to sound out words.  I encurage books, it doesn't matter what kind
