Shaving legs

 My BFF's daughter is 9 and is begging to shave her legs. At what age did you and/or your daughters start shaving their legs?

I think I was in 6th grade.  That's about when my oldest two daughters started as well.

I was either 10 or 11. My DD will be 8 this Friday and she hasn't started yet.

I started at 13, let my daughter when she turned 13 as well.

 I think when they ask if they can-that's the right time, and it will vary from girl to girl. If they feel the hair is unsightly it can make for low self esteem. I'm all for making them feel good.

oh goodness I was like 11 or 12??? IMO 9 is too young! Should still be a little girl a little while longer.

I started when I was like 11. I think if there is something to shave, and the girl is old enough to do it without hurting herself and wants to do it, let her. She either needs to shave or she is just doing it to be cool which will get old really fast and she won't want to do it anymore.

My sister who was about 8 at the time I started shaving was jealous that I got to and snuck in an did it on her own. She cut her legs really bad. She actually shaved the skin off her whole shin because she didn't know better. I'd rather teach my girls to do it early than have them hurt themselves.

I don't remember when I started, but my 11 year old started at the endof fourth grade. She's not shaving, I buy her the nair.
