When my daughter gets older, I won't care if she calls a boy. As far as dating goes, that's a different story. I wasn't allowed to date until I was 16 and as much as I hated it when I was a teen, it was definitely good for me. It made me focus more on learning who I was an what I was about and not so much on impressing the guys. Having a friend that is a boy is fine, but she won't be dating until she's 16.
Calling a boy now is not the same as it was when I was growing up. She has lot of friends who are boys, but no boyfriends yet.

Quoting SlightlyPerfect:I assume I'll be ok with it (DD's only 3), but my husband told me he hopes DD is gay so we won't have to "worry about boys." :)
