Raising Confident Daughters Day 9: Girls in the Lead

Posted by   + Show Post

Let your daughter teach you a new skill. Try doing a project together like jewelry making or pottery, or ask her to show you how to do something you normally wouldn't, like play video games or learn to text.

What can your daughter teach you?

All three of my kids (daughter and her two younger brothers) also teach me Hebrew and Spanish --neither of which I know.

I let my daughter be in charge of play time. She dictates what barbie I will be and what we are going to do with them. Its fun.

Today was a "Bean-Directed Day," which means DD got to pick what we did all day. We went to the zoo today, and my daughter taught me how to feed a lorikeet! She literally explained each step in detail. (Including, "Even though you are small, Mommy, I am smaller, so you have to hold me up"!!!!!)
