Does your daughter have a cell phone or spend time online? Take time today to discuss technology.

Talk about cyberbullying, sending photos, de-friending and sexting. To many moms and mentors, these terms may seem like a foreign language. To girls, however, these words represent a new concern that they have to deal with daily: digital drama. Girls' self-esteem and confidence can be impacted immensely as they navigate social media and contend with these issues.

Check out A Girl’s Guide to the Digital World for tips and information!

Have you talked to your daughter about being respectful both offline and online?

My daughters play online games for kids and they don't go on social network sites, I monitor their online usage.

My daughter is only five so she doesn't have any access to electronic besides her CD player without Mommy being there. We have however talked about bullying in general and when she's old enough we'll have about cyberbullying and being responsible online.

My daughter does not really have a lot of tech devices, since she is 4.  She plays on her Leapster.  So, we don't talk a lot about cyberbullying, since she is not really familiar with it.  But we talk to my son, 8, about it and we will be talking to her when she gets older and it is appropriate.

My daughter is on Warriors.com every day. It's really the main thing she does on -line. (She also uses is for research for homeschooling) Not only do i talk to her about things that can happen on-line but we have a program on both her computers that tells us exactly what she does. (She doesn't know they are on their.)

I'm always talking to my dd about being respectful. That's her being respectful towards others and them being respectful towards her.
