I think strength is a force (comprised of self-discipline, self-confidence, and ethical values) that manifests itself in the face of conflict.
Strength is acknowledging that we have weaknesses and being able to work with those weaknesses while trying to improve upon those weaknesses. Strength comes from the struggles of life and being able to smile inspite of "whatever". Strength comes from going through life and making it through to the other side without compromising yourself to do so and smiling along the way when you'd rather be sitting down and maybe letting go.
Its not how we see ourselves...but rather how others see us, that makes the difference.
