The other post (don't fit in...) got me thinking about my sister and dyslexia.

She was treated by her peers as if she was stupid, because she had lots if problems with reading. I am thankful that we were homeschooled because she would have been in special Ed otherwise and that would have destroyed her!

Anyway, once she learned more about how she learned and embraced it her confidence level went through the roof!

So, have you, your daughter or someone close to you had to overcome a difficulty?

My 5 year old has really bad asthma and I feel bad for him a lot because he can't always do what the other kids do.  So far the other kids don't make fun of him or anything but I don't know what will happen as he gets older.  My 1 year old has severe food allergies and as he gets into school the other kids will definitely notice he can't eat what they do.
