When I was a young mother, I read all the books, bought all the video's and spoke to as many more seasoned moms as I could. I thought that I was prepared for my new roles as a wife and as a mother.

Within a few years, I discovered that I felt used up, lonely, depressed and sometimes even angry. It seemed I had so much love for others, but that no one in my family, including my then husband, had love for me.

I didn't know it at the time, but I really was codependent, and believed that my worth could only be found in the taking care of others.

Twelve years into my marriage and two more children later, I was struggling to stay married while inside I felt like I was dying. Having been a woman who loved far too much, and had worried more about the needs of others than my own, I felt like divorce was the only way I could catch my breath.

I want to start a group for moms who may be going through something similar right now.
