We stopped for one last look at the most beautiful part of the drive from Condon to The Dalles: The mountain identifier.
It's at 2,300 feet. It is a large circle with arrows pointing towards each mountain. On a clear day, you can see, in order north to south, Mt. Reiner, Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Adams, Mt. Hood, and Mt. Jefferson, as well as the Three Sisters and Black Butte. For those that don't know, that's almost the entire Cascade Mountain Range, running from northern Washington State to central Oregon! It's incredible!!
Sadly, the fire by Adams was putting off too much smoke, ago it wasn't a clear day. Jefferson was poking out of the clouds and smoke, but just barley.
Anyway... :) That's my 28 weeks 6 day baby bump! The "Sam Hill!" my sweater makes it appear larger than life. I'm not really that huge yet. :)
