I posted on the post i made about it and then moved it as well as when others posted it that it was a scam :( sucks i think we were all looking forward to them
They're either harvesting information to sell (I hope not) or just trying to get as much traffic to their page as possible so they can make money off of the ads =( Would be neat if it was legit, but it's been around since (I think) 2006 so they're certainly not a new site as they claim, and the 'catalog' threw up major red flags for me; a real business should want their customers to be able to view their entire inventory easily so they're more likely to place an order.
On a side note, I'm questioning the legitimacy of Thit! as well. Are they really going to give out ~50k t-shirts? Why are they accepting beta testers and not even telling them what they'll be testing? It doesn't make sense. I guess we'll see either when a t-shirt comes or they actually open the site. I won't be surprised if it turns out to be another info harvesting site though.
I avoided Thit because they wanted my cell phone #.
Use a fake number on Thit. I did. and i got my t-shirt the other day
Quoting kcangel63:
