Do you know a lot of people who are out of work and are desperately looking for a job?
It seems it's at 9.6% for the state but I don't see it here on the coast. I actually don't know anyone that needs a job at this time.
Wondering if it's more of a regional thing.

I personally don't see it right now in the Charlotte region. It has a lot to do with opening your options and realizing that to make money you don't get to customize your job. In the $7.25-9.00 range, it's easy. I would just mass apply to probably fifty openings on Career builder and I actually got quite a few job interveiws and decided to take the highest offer. I just wanted a second job so I set my asking pay way above what I already make and they actually agreed at an AWESOME pay. Of course for bigger jobs, I've seen an average 1-2 years unemployed before getting another. Then again these are trained professionals in the 80k plus a year range. The only unemployed people I see are the ones that are not trying.
