Does it matter to you if a celebrity supports a politician that you do not support?

George Clooney is set to arrive in Geneva, a centre for international organisations and business, to raise more money for Barack Obama’s re-election campaign.
George raised almost 15 million US dollars (£9.5 million) for the US President’s campaign at the actor’s Los Angeles home in May.
Organisers in Geneva expect to pull in a more modest amount of about 500,000 US dollarsfrom US donors for Obama’s campaign, with many supporters flying in to Geneva from around the world.
Americans Abroad for Obama, the event’s sponsor, said on its website that guests are paying 15,000 US dollars (£9,500) per person to dine with George, 5,000 US dollars (£3,150) for a photo with him and 1,000 US dollars (£630) to attend a reception before the dinner. About 30 people are attending the dinner, with about 100 at the reception.
The event is co-hosted by Geneva-based American lawyer Charles C Adams Jr and Matthew Barzun, Obama’s campaign finance chairman.

A celebrity has the same right as I do to support whichever politician they choose. Their political belief and who they push doesn't change my opinion on their acting at all. It's their right just as much as it's my right for me to choose
It doesn't change my mind just because a celebrity endorses a candidate. I vote based on the issues.

It doesn't change my point of view on the politics. It makes me rethink who I like as actors (-: lol I love me some GC but am not an Obama fan. I actually don't think it's right for celebs to publicly endorse politicians ecause uneducated people say "oh look GC likes Obama. I like GC. Therefore, I like Obama." when they have no idea about his stands.
