Gov McCrory signed his first bill

I just read on WXII's website that McCrory has signed his 1st bill.  He's working with the Dept of Education to implement new high school diplomas.  According to the article, the diploma will make it obvious whether the child is ready for college or vocational training or both.  It seems a little bit weird to me....what do y'all think?

I don't agree with it. It seems to me that this would be a form of labeling the children.

Not so sure I like this idea.  That may cause a student who is on the fence about college to decide not to pursue what they really want to do.

so he is ok with pigeon holing kids into what they think this kid is capable of doing/  I do not agree with this at all

I don't agree with it either. Who makes the decision over what label is put on the diploma? The school?? What about homeschooled children?

I looked it up and there's a lot more to it than what was first explained.
