Colton is in Kindergarten. He's been doing great at sounding out letters to read words, so just for fun, I asked him to sound out and spell his dad's name.
As he's sounding it out, he says..."N-U-K-K-E-A"
I had to giggle. I've seen DH's name butchered in so many ways, but this is by far the cutest (maybe it's because it's my own kid).
It's Nakkia. I get mail with "Nikki" "N'kka" "Nakita" others I can't remember. Our deed to the house, for some odd reason, says Makkia even though ALL the paper work says "Nakkia" (Maybe I should have them fix that?? lol).
I get phone calls for Nikki, NAH-Kia, Nakita. 90% of his own family can't spell it or pronounce it right.
