Been there several times they misdiagnosed my son who was 5 at the time and threw meds at him instead of finding out what was truly wrong with him. Because of this we ended up in Boston Children's Hospital for 3mo's.
My husband went their to get a fish hook out of his face and instead of cutting it and pulling it through the same hole the made a new hole and pushed it painfully threw barb and all no pain meds.
Nope will never go back!!
Quoting AmesCSki:Just out of curiousity, what happened to make you hate CMC?
Quoting fullxbusymom:All 4 of mine at Parkland in Derry, NH as my OB is in Londonderry. I will NEVER use CMC for anything. If you bring me or my children to CMC we better already be dead.
If any of my kids or myself need anything we only go to Elliot.

I would have to say that overall we had a good experience in the Special Care Nursery. They took great care of our sond (and us!!). Of course, no time in a "NICU type" environment is ever 100% positive. There were a couple of bumps in the road and many very stressful days. We were very fortunate that when we arrived at the SCN there was only one other baby on the floor. This alowed us the opportunity to forge good bonds with many of the Nurses. By the time we left they were at capacity...we joked that we got to go home because they needed our room!!
I thought that sometimes the delivery of not so good news could have been handled in a better manner, but you aren't going to mesh with every Doctor and Nurse. Also, the privacy aspect of having single rooms was great but sometimes it was so lonely when my Husband, Mother or In-laws weren't there. This might not have been so noticeable but we spent two weeks up at Dartmouth - there was always someone nearby - sometimes just knowing that was comforting.
Oh....and it was ALWAYS COLD!! AND...I always missed the cookie lady!! She always seemed to come when I had gone for a quick walk.l :)
