Obama, First Lady, Bidens Coming to Seacoast

When President Barack Obama comes to Portsmouth on Friday, Sept. 7, he will be joined by First Lady Michelle Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and Dr. Jill Biden, according to the Obama campaign.... According to City Councilor Ken Smith, the White House is leaning toward Prescott Park and some other reports indicate the President may opt for Strawbery Banke Museum across the street.
Last week, Mayor Eric Spear revealed that he had been contacted by the White House via e-mail that President Obama would be coming to the city for a campaign stop a day after the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C., ends.
Smith also said he was informed of the same thing by the mayor and that the White House had initially asked if the President could hold his event in Market Square. He also said the city should bill the White House for the President's visit to cover the cost of local police, fire and public works because it is a campaign event and not an official visit....

Would love to go! I guess it's the benefit of living in a swing state - we get to see the candidates a lot more often than other states. Though I guess some would think that is a negative :)
