Why are you surprised?

I would say he's more classified as a pop artist with his popularity. (And he's American, technically. Born in Miami)

I'm a fan, can you tell? LOL

I'm a fan as well. His music is definitely Spanish... Latino, something? I always hear him on the club/dance station on Pandora. Ds (1), dd and I love shaking our booties during dance parties to his music (the edited versions of course).

Cuban-inspired dance music, yes. I was just pointing out that he's not a "Spanish singer", he's an American singer who happens to sing some lyrics in Spanish. He and Jennifer Lopez have a lot of similarities (both Latino roots with some of that influecing their music, but born in the US) but you wouldn't classifiy her as a Spanish singer, right? LOL
