Yes. I joined a local CM group when I first joined CM, and we had several Moms Night Outs and such. I hired one of the photographer moms to take pics at hubby's 40th birthday party a few years ago, and still get together with a couple moms from that (now defunct) CM group from time to time. Many of them are also friends with me on FB.

I've met 2 - some of my closest friends from another group. One lives just 20 minutes away from my ILs, so we met up for a playdate last summer when we visited. The other came down here to Disney for a family vacation and we met up and did some rides together :)
