Photo: Possibly my favorite daily drink and favorite spice for their benefits and their taste. Both affect blood sugar levels positively too.

Studies have shown that cinnamon mitigates the glycemic response caused by high carb meals - in other words it prevents your blood sugar from making dramatic changes.

Adding cinnamon to high-carb meals or taking some cinnamon before them has been shown to decrease this response by up to a third!

Take-away: use cinnamon freely :-) I always use plenty of cinnamon when making my pre-workout protein pancake meals, my oats and my quinoa dishes. Check my recipes album if you're interested in those dishes!

Yes but that's just black coffee. Most people add cream and sugar and then that negates any good effects essentially.
