I just came across this site and wanted to share it. You put in a city or zip and kids age range and it brings up a list of places to go with a brief description. I found tons of new things to do with my 2yo ds. If a place looked interesting I googled it for their website. I hope it helps some of you mommies out there :-) share yours too!

I just go to the South Florida Parenting and the Things to Do section and it lists local activities per day per county.

Thanks for the site.  I am going to check it out.  now only if I can find something that isnt so pricey!  I wanted to take my kids to Butterfly World and for adults it is $19.95 and even kids as young as 3 it is like $17.95!  We are talking a walk through garden type butterfly reserve!!

I am in west central Florida--have no small children but do have some "old" friends and sometimes there is not much difference in ability to get around--that site listed 171 sites when I put in my zip and I did notice several places not listed including Homosassa Springs, Weeki Wachee near me and no mention of Wekiva Springs near Orlando--BTW Homosassa rates are under 6 free , adults 13 old adults 9.20 groups get reduced rates also--anyway the site has tons listed and they were listed by distance from me--so give it a look for sure http://www.familydaysout.com/

http://www.hillsboroughcounty.org/index.aspx?NID=2668  this happens to be Hillsboroughs Park site --summer camps in particular--most counties have day camps etc --check that out also

Thanks for the site Ruthzaad--loaded me with ideas :)

There is a "free" option too, I have yet to try it but who knows what it will pull up
