I am always asked to bring my layered bean dip to stuff and it's super easy. I got it out of a magazine. It's easily doubled/tripled if you need larger portions. I'll just do the small portion.

1-can black beans (15 oz) drained

1-Can white northern/cannellini beans (15 oz) drained

1-container sour cream (15 oz i think small/med container)

1-Jar Salsa

1-1 1/2 cup cheddar or Mexican cheese blend (really whatever   kind you like best for this dish

1-avocado

1-clove garlic-minced

dash of salt (1/4 teaspoon-if you like to measure lol)

(OR instead of the Avocado Garlic and Salt you can use your fav store bought guacamole)

1-deep container for layering all ingredients.

Scoop out the avocado and put it in a bowl or baggie-mash it up really well (baggie you can just mash it in the bag) add the salt and minced garlic. Mix together well

In your container on the bottom dump in your drained black beans and spread them out.

Next add your guacamole/mashed avocado mixture. Smoothing it over the black beans

Next dump your drained white beans on top of the avocado. Smooth them out

Next dump the jar of salsa over the white beans. Smooth it out.

Next you'll want to add the sour cream on top of the salsa. I find that if you dollop it out all over then spread it's easier and you dont' mix it up too much with the salsa.

Next top it with your shredded cheese of choice. At this point over the cheese you can add some chili powder/taco seasoning/adobo if you want to--not a must.

Store in the rigrigerator until ready to serve.

Serve with tortilla chips
