Ive only sent cookies to a friend overseas, I guess it was just tightly packaged up in ziplocs(she didn't care how they came though).

sent DH cookies overseas, i always put them into a coffee can or when DD was little a forumula can and put a piece of bread in there so they wouldn't get stale, but it also took a week/week and a half for him to get them.
