 Thanks for the bumps you guys. We are secular homeschoolers....we homeschool using no religious materials, do not include religion in our studies, and are not homeschooling due to religion. We homeschool due to bullying and social problems. Plus, we are not a religious household. It just makes it easier to state secular ahead of time. Not to offend anyone, just wanted to clarify. LOL

there are a few different homeschooling groups in Des Moines. It has been a few years since I've interacted with any of them, but most of the families were secular, not religious homeschoolers. for the life of me I can't remember their organizational names right now.
