This has NOTHING to do with anyone in here!!!!
I posted in my church group yesterday asking people to CALL and check on my husband while we are gone. I didnt ask them to bring him anything or to do anything other then Call. Not so hard I would do it in a heart beat.
Anyway I had 1 lady inparticular try to tell me that I CAN have his meds before we go because she did. YES if it was a different kind of Medicine then we could get it early and maybe even fill it in LA. BUT it is a highly controlled medicine. He is taking Methidone. It a very strong narcotic they give to Meth addicts and it will catch a good price on the black market. He needs it for his Pain. Its the only thing that gets him through the day from the pain of his leg. I dont understand why people dont think before they speak. We have tried to think of EVERYTHING to see if he can go. I dont want to leave him here and he dosnt want to stay. If he went he would be miserable and make the rest of us miserable. He cant even stand when he dosnt have his meds and is in bed all day. We dont want that. But why would anyone think that we didnt try? I understand no one knows the extent of his pain and how controlled the meds are. But dont sit there and act like I didnt think of everything. UGH it just annoys me!!!! OK Vent over!!! Again nothing against any of you in here. You were all understanding and didnt make it seem like Im stupid and didnt try to come up with a solution. Thanks for letting me vent. I can now get on with my day. LOL HUGS you ladies are great!!!

As far as other people go, just let it roll off your back. You know you have exhausted every avenue, don't let others bring you down. :)

I'm sorry, people can be total jerks, especially when they think they know everything. You know what you have tried to get him to be able to go. I hope you don't mind my asking, but what happened to his leg?

In Dec of 2000 he was in a really bad car accident. He actually should have died. He severed his aorta and crushed his right ankle. The bones in his ankle were just about all powder. He has gone through 2 ankle fusions, to see if that would help with the pain. It has only caused him more pain. He is going to get it amputated now. He had screws almost poking out of the skin. He has a metal rod going from the bottom of his foot up the inside of his bone. He has arthritis really bad in the toes. He has taken so much pain meds for the last 12 years he has built up a really good tolerence to them. So he is now on Methadone.

How awful. I can't imagine going through all that pain and everything for 12 years! The poor guy.

Yea its been really hard on him. He now also has epilepsi. He finally got on SSD and has medicare, so he is going to get his leg amputated probably this summer sometime.

Amber I understand. That's why I take hydrchodone. I can't do anything without it either. I have a hard time doing a lot with it even. I used to be able to keep my house clean, wash clothes and fix dinner. Now my husband has to help a lot with it. I know you said it wasn't anyone in here, but I know I was trying to think of ways that he could go. I also know how they are with controlled drugs. Mine is even as strong as he has to take. I wish he could get them and go with you, but I understand why he can't go without them. I'm very sorry for what he is going through. I'm very sorry for what you all are going through. Your family will be in my thoughts. If their is anyone on here who lives around you, maybe they can call and see how he is doing. I think you said, that you don't live in Vegas or I would see how he is doing for you. I hope you have as good a time as you can without him getting to go.

I just read what is wrong. I'm so sorry, that he has had to go through all of that and is in that much pain. Sometimes when I'm feeling sorry for myself I don't realize how much worse some people have it than I do. I'm so sorry. When does he have to go back in the hospital? Let us know so we can throw our prayers to him.
Oh and thanks for the offer to check up on him. I have that taken care of. I have someone who is going to do it.

I just read what is wrong. I'm so sorry, that he has had to go through all of that and is in that much pain. Sometimes when I'm feeling sorry for myself I don't realize how much worse some people have it than I do. I'm so sorry. When does he have to go back in the hospital?
