I was just wondering a couple things

At what age should you not share a room with a sibling.

At what age is it ok to walk to the store by yourself?

At what age is it ok to babysit?

Just curious to what people think

First question might be a matter of space or finances; my sons and daughter share rooms and they are 20/18 and 13/9.

I let my sons walk to the store by themselves at 12. I still will not let my 13 y.o. dd walk anywhere out of the neighborhood by herself.

I probably won't be letting my 13 y.o. babysit by herself, but that's just an individual thing, because my 9 y.o. probably will be great at 13 with babies and kids because she already helps me when I watch my friends' little ones and she is a helper at church with the 3 y.o.s.

1. 5 years old if different gender, 7 years old if same gender

2. Depends how far the store is

3. 13 if it's in the daylight, 15 if it's at night

My daughters are 15 and 13 :)

Awe! Its cool you got one of each though. We are on girl #3. At this rate if we do get a boy he would get his own room by default, lol.

I dont think my kids have ever shared a room. But they are brother and sister. For a boy and girl probably not after 6/7. Thats when mine started wanting more gender specific decor and such. Shoot they share a bathroom and for an 11 and 14 yo its like the Apocalypse.

My kids still dont walk anywhere b them self. They have to have a friend or each other.

12 is the legal age to babysit, thats when my daughter started but I think its more of a maturity thing to me.

I feel like once a child has reached the preteen stage around 11 and 12 their old enough for their own room and to walk to the store. Babysitting at age 14 seems a good age to start. But really it's all based on the child's maturity.
