I love driving up to Cave Mountain Lake in Arcadia. Even if we don't go to the lake we will drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway and enjoy the scenery.

We go to Fort Hunt in Mt. Vernon. There's a playground, picnic facilities and military ruins.

You should take them. They have been fixing the place up. They drained the lake and put down new sand and they have done a few other things.

We have little kids and don't really take many little trips.  The kids do enjoy going to Wilson's Wild Animal Park which is only about 5 or so minutes from our house.

We go either to downtown Richmond or D.C

We love to go riding throughout the shenandoah valley. We will pack a lunch and just drive. When the kids start getting antsy we stop have lunch and will walk around the town we stopped in or find the kids a park to play at.

We love heading out to Williamsburg for day trips, see the historical sites then over to the outlet for some shopping!

I like to take day trips to Smithfield Va. and Jamestown Va. because they have a lot of history. and Smithfield Va. and Surry Va because there is a lot of family history for my family in in these two counties.
