Are you a Virginia Tech fan, alumnist or both? Are you a Hokie at heart? Well, you can celebrate your love for all things Tech through their food with the release of a new cook book that was released recently, A Taste of Virginia Tech. The book contains 80 recipes that were favorites around campus.
Here's the interesting part, take a look at some of these recipe lists:
- London Broil with Roasted Garlic Potatoes with a Red Wine Mushroom Sauce
- Soup in Sourdough Break Bowls (Broccoli & Cheese, Tortilla)
- Lobster Bisque (reportedly served daily at VT!)
- Gourmet Burgers and Sandwiches
All of these things are reportedly served at the various campus dining halls.
One of the things they also talk about in this article about the book is the memories they felt they made by staying close to campus for all of their meals - chatting in between classes with friends, snacking on homemade cookies and creating the memories that we all might envision when thinking about living on campus.
I don't know about you, but I now wish I had opted to live on campus somewhere and pay for the meal plan. Especially if they had food like Virginia Tech!
Did you attend a Virginia University (or any other) with dining halls that served meals like this?
