Into the Merry Christmas vs Happy Holidays argument? Does either offend you? If so, why?

I don't get into the argument about it. I don't care how other people say it. We say Merry Christmas to people don't get offended if someone says Happy Holidays.

I'm just happy that someone says something nice to me.

We celebrate the winter holiday.  We still do a tree and gifts but it's not the Christian Christmas.

I don't care what people say.  I worked retail for many years and unless it came up that they were shopping for a certain holiday, I would say 'Happy Holidays.'

I celebrate Christmas.

same here. no one wears a tag that says, "i am not a Christian" or "i am a Christian" so i'm not sure why peopel would get bent out of shape abotu it, cos how are you supposed to know? it's just nice to send a well wish to someone to enjoy themselves and/or the season. if soemone told me "Happy Hannukah!" i'd probably say it right back even though i'm not Jewish.

I say "Merry Christmas" but I don't get offended if someone says anything different. When I worked at a Bank we weren't aloud to say Merry Christmas only Happy Holidays and people would get so bent out of shape it correcting me saying Merry Christmas...I then wisper it to them and then let them know I have to say "Happy Holidays"
