Did your mom put an orange in the bottom of your stocking to fill out the foot?

Seems like this was a fairly common tradition. Mine did.

Do you do it for your kiddos?

My mom puts a chocolate orange in our stockings. We celebrate Christmas at my parents every year so I don't do the stockings, but when I get the chance to I will fill them the way my mom does.

My mom always did, and I usually do, but we aren't big orange eaters so I'm skipping it this year, don't want to waste food!

My mom's family is Polish. I wonder if it's a shared tradition?

All I ever got in my stocking was oranges and grapefruits.  That's it.

My mom put an orange in our shoe on the feast of saint Nick but on Christmas our stockings had a crap ton of chocolate and candy and small gifts.
