Dd is doing well, she starts in the 2nd grade math class on Tuesday as the start of a gradual grade acceleration. :)

My daughter is doing great. My son is struggling a little, but I knew he would. It also doesn't help that all the misbehaving kids are in his class, and I wish I were kidding about that. I feel bad for his teacher. I have no idea how she is able to come to work every day with a smile, lol. I help in his class every week so I see what is going on. The teacher is so busy with the few obnoxious kids that she really isn't teaching much. I am so thankful he sees a tutor three times a week or he would be having an even harder time.

We do K12 through OHVA. She's doing great. Since she works at home she doesn't get much chance to daydream. ;)

She's excited that she may get to go to Heartland this summer. It's a summer camp/outdoor learning place.

My kids go to public school, but since you homeschool I have a question. :)
My son is in kindergarten. We read to him, and work with flash cards. He is still struggling at school. Mostly it's his classroom environment. Do you have any recommendations of things I can do at home (more than what I already am doing) to help him with his reading and letter sounds? His teacher's recommendations were all things we have been doing. I have incorporated learning games on my iPhone that seem to help, but I feel like I'm missing something.

I think what you're doing is great, but there are also a lot of free resources online. Time4learning is not free but is affordable at $20 a month and has lesson plans.

Here's a couple other websites to try. Also just search free homeschool and lots of websites come up.
