Where are good places to meet new mom friends? I have one friend pretty much in this state and I feel really confined to the house lately. Any suggestions? I am due in December with my first.

Congrats on the upcoming baby.

I would suggest getting to know ladies on here that might be willing me meet for lunch.

The other thing I would suggest is trying to find mommy and me clubs near you.

I'm in the same boat. I thought i had friends until I had my son...now everyone thinks I'm too busy with my son to do anything, just because I don't want to go to bars.

Have you tried meetup.com? It is a great website where you can find all sorts of groups, with all different kinds of interests. Before I went back to work I belonged to a great group of Moms that had all sorts of fun things to do, and I met a bunch of people!

Thank you! I've been looking for couples parenting classes to maybe meet people with dh, but I feel so shy and insecure haha I have never been shy, but right now is really weird lol

I moved here about two years ago and the "friends" I had made wan nothing but partying an drinking...I guess it's good to lose those friends before we start counting on them. How old is your son?
