Gestational Diabetes and Concerned about Babys Weight

Despite trying my best to control blood sugars, my baby is HUGE. We just had another ultrasound yesturday at 36 weeks 2 days they are estimating her weight 8lbs 7 oz. My c section is scheduled for Nov 15 I am really concerned how much more she will grow in the next 3 weeks. My first was 8lbs 8 oz. How big was your baby?

My DS was 8.7
My DD was 7.14

Don't forget though, sometimes those measurements are off. Keeping you and baby in my thoughts! Good luck mama!!!! :)

Adam was 8 lbs at 37 weeks, but I didn't have GD.  The babies in Matt's family tend to be bigger/longer.  I wouldn't be concerned about that weight estimate.  Ultrasounds don't tend to be very accurate.  Babies don't gain a ton of weight at the end of pregnancy either from what I understand.
