Do you let your children play with these dolls?

Posted by   + Show Post

Would you let your sons or daughter play with these types of dolls?

#barbie brands-barbie

Do you think these types of dolls are hurting our children's self image?

Bratz Dolls

Do you think the dolls geared towards our children are meant to lead them in the direction of a certain career path?

I wouldn't buy them but if someone gave them to them I would let them. Except all the knives that come with G.I. Joe. I do buy barbie stuff for my girls all the time. I don't see a problem with them.

Barbie and GI Joe, yes. The ones in the middle, no.

The GI JOE doll is kinda weird with all those weapons. Interesting. My son isn't into that stuff tho.

My daughter used to like Bratz, but not anymore. Nothing wrong with Barbie. She is into Monster High more than anything.

Yes, if they want to.  My daughters don't play much with those kinds of dolls, but they do have some.

Ahahahaha. That's a good one :) I just dislike the snotty look on the dolls face.

Quoting VintageWife:

They make them all with big lips, exposed midriffs and a high-maintenance makeup and eyebrow look. It's like tiny, shapely octomoms...

Really? Why not the ones in the middle?

The GI Joes I let my kids have. The other ones look like hoochies. My nieces play with the skipper dolls instead of barbies.

bratz are just another type of toy out in the world from a company that wants to make money. as for military boy toys, as long as there is a world in the world there will be g i joes, army men etc.

1 mom liked this

Dd has some Barbies. We will not let her have Bratz, though- the faces just seem to have this whole "attitude" about them. Dd has enough of an attitude on her own!

My boys have never been into action figures, but I'd have no problem w/ them, or dd, playing w/ G.I. Joe.
