1 mom liked this

when my kids were little we would drive around and look at holiday lights as I did when I was a child, open presents on Christmas morning and Christmas dinner with the family

We put up a nativity and tree, spend time together, and are building traditions.

Just imagine how much people could accomplish after they accept that there is no god. No god to blame. No god to thank. No god to praise. No god to grant or deny requests. No predetermined plan. Just imagine the possibilities that would come with that one realization that people have to take ownership of themselves, their choices, and their moral obligations.

I hear ya. My dad's extended side got a little nuts this past year, so I told my parents we're hosting Giftmas Eve at our house this year. I'm not putting up with crazies.
