1 mom liked this

Cool.

Quoting hugss:

Yes water is important
We have gardenias .. 1/2 the year they live in the basement (makeshift green house)
Other half out by the pool
Usually have to water them every day otherwise they show you it's time

Quoting wandep:

Nope it's not! We made a garden last year and destroyed it. We just don't have time to go out and pull weeds plus we forgot to water it most days.

Quoting hugss:

LOL .. it's not always easy :)

Quoting wandep:

LOL I like the hope part. That is us.

Quoting hugss:

No we don't do gardens,
We have a few things planted that we just hope to keep alive :)

Sand is actually the perfect conditions for a couple different things, so you could test rin the idea without having to spend any money on soil.

We don't have any resources.  We have a very small garden which usually has tomatoes, bell peppers, carrots, and snow peas.  We also have a couple patches of asparagus in other areas.  We have a couple other areas that have rhubarb and raspberries.  We just got the rapsberry plants last year.  With the draught, I'm not sure if they'll be back this year.

I start all my seeds inside. Then transfer the plants outisde. Last year we had a big garden. This year it will be bigger though we ate everything right out of the garden. I get my seeds their a seed store that handles heirloom seeds. I enjoy going out and working in the garden all summer long. I'm already working on my plan of what to plant and where.
