Did your parent have an official "sex" talk with you?

My mom was open with us from the time we were toddlers about sex.

oh yeah. once we asked we got it all lol...we knew all about it before we were 7. we even asked what the amniotic fluid was made of and our mom took us to her OB/GYN to answer what she couldnt

No. I did get a " don't ever use petroleum jelly as lube with a condom!" Lecture when I got married. Apparently it melts condoms and that's how I came to be.

No they didn't.  My mom just bought me the American Girls book, I think it was called, "The Care and Keeping of You," and left it at that.  I gained my knowledge of sex from friends (so beneficial ::eye roll::) and from health class.

I told my husband that we're having a rule that sex is not a taboo subject in our home.  I don't want DD (and any other children we may have) to feel like they can't talk to us about it.
