I can't believe that this year on Sun I was headed to court to face my ex for Domestic Violence hearing. I still feel some days I'm in a fog and other days I want to cry. I know it's probably normal but there are days that I don't feel a thing. Lately I have been learning my place at home through my daughter. I must say the hardest thing is feeling the weight knowing I am playing both roles and not knowing when the next question will come out asking about her "dad".

Stay strong mommas. She will keep asking.... my kids still do 4 years later (he is not in their lives at all) just be as honest as you can at her level. Good luck.

I try and do my best not to speak ill of him. I know when she is ready to hear the hard stuff she will ask. The very first time she asked was a few days before Christmas 2012.

stay strong ... .sometimes it is hard but looking back in the long run you will see what a difference you made in DD life :-)  give her confidence. Children learn from home first.
