That is NOT an appropriate prom dress!

Posted by Anonymous   + Show Post

DS is in 10h grade and he asked a girl to the prom which is next week. Last night she texted a pic of the dress she'll be wearing (that's not her, just a pic of the dress).

I think it's super slutty!  Too short and looks like lingerie.  How could her parents let her wear that??

If her parents are okay with it then there's nothing you can do. Plus, it could look different on her. Personally, my dd would not be allowed to wear that dress but that's my choice.

It does kinda look like a nightie but it is cute

I think it's a little short. I wouldn't be comfortable in that all night.

If her parents said it's okay then it's okay.

My 17yo sister was asked to be in the court at a Sweet 16. This girl chose strapless white "dresses".. and by dress I mean this piece of cloth that barely covered their butts (and therefore lady parts). She was also expected to wear heels "no smaller than 3 inches".

WTH?!

I'm not a fan of the new style of prom dresses now a days. Dress is pretty but not something I'd let my daughter wear

That model is also WAY taller than most girls that age. If she is shorter the dress will not be so short. And for the record I think it's cute.
