What's The Secret To Raising A Good Son?

What are the secrets to raising a modern man? Should you teach them to be able to communicate their emotions, or should you be concerned with how well they'll be able to defend themselves in a rough-and-tumble world?

I think it is some where in between. You have to take the childs personality in to consideraion when raisig them My son is emotional and we work with him o epressing him self in good ways and also being strong. We expect him to learn how o cook, clean, sew and everything that we do our girls. But thegirls are also taught to express them selves and to do things hat some people would expect are for boys

Respect.

Respect their needs.

Respect their abilities.

Respect their preferences and desires.

When they grow up with respect, they'll naturally and generously share it with the world.

I only have girls but I would want to encourage them to help others and to learn the value of giving. I think having boys learning to do everything will make them an adult who can take care of themselves. My DH never did laundry, cook, or other chores because his mom felt it was a woman's job.

Both, shut down aggression yet teach self defense

I want my son to be a great husband and father so I want him to show emotion and be sensitive, it does not equal weakness as many in our culture like to think.
