My dining room table we bought at a garage sale 14 yrs ago for $30 with 6 chairs. We have no idea how old it is, but the "slides" for the leaves to go in were made of wood.
Well, at dinner one night back in November it broke. My husband and my brother did a "quick" fix. We had plans on using an ana-white plan to build a farmhouse style table.
It hasn't worked out yet, time wise.
Yesterday we ran to a couple of furnature stores to look at sectionals or even couches. Found nothing. At one store the sales associate said their warehouse sale was the next day and we could try that.
Well, we struck out on couches/sectionals. However we found a table with two leaves that opens to 96" sounds crazy but we frequently have 10 for dinner.
So total with tax $81. It has a crack in the venere (sp) on the top. We have a friend who does woodwork that can take a look at it. If he can't replace it, they table cloths will be our friend.
