    Yeah, but from the hip can mean a lot of things. I think you also have the ability to think critically, which is how I, too, handle things as they come. Approach everything rationally, and you'll be able to deal with things just fine.

    You're right, I do have the ability to think critically... and I do tend to think rationally, even in really tense situations.

    I don't know how I got it, but I have the kind of brain that comes up with the right thing to say, right in the middle of stuff.

    First off I love this episode my son has autism and like his son, my son had speech and was developing normally until the 18 months shots. Then lost speech and platued.  It was the first time on a show that I've heard of someone talking about severe autism positively and not making it sound scary. I am so happy that he was on this show, and was able to explain those things. Ill be sharing this link to friends and family and getting his book.  

    I handle lives curveballs by just going day by day doing the best I can.
