Do you have an emergency plan? A kit? If you don't you should start one! I never thought we would need one, and not long ago, I was left wishing we had been more prepared.
My husband and I have lived in this apartment for almost 2 years, and not long ago, the apartment owners went bankrupt. Needless to say, in the 2 weeks between transition of ownership from the old owners to the new ones, we had no water, no heat, and no electricity.
I have since aquired a survival kit, and several different assorted items, all of which can be found on the FIMA survival needs checklist. We keep three kits in the apartment. One in our bedroom, one under the bathroom sink, and one in the kitchen.
