My husband is a Tiger Den leader. This is our first year in Scouts. I am going to be the new Leadership Committee Secretary and am kind of embarrassed to ask this at the meeting.

Why is the WEBLOS symbol an ear of corn?

that is so funny......I had to go see my sons patch to look for the ear of corn lol

I think it's suppose to be a blue and gold flur de leaf (ok I'm sure thats spelled wrong sorry).  I could be wrong maybe it is an ear of corn but I know someone in this group will know these ladies are wonderful

The blue is supposed to be a "W" for "Webelos". I guess the yellow bit is to make it look more like the Scout fleur de leis. Never thought about it looking like an ear of corn, but now that you mention it. . .

In the digital age I am noticing many symbols looking like other details or items. Including the Webelos symbol. So perhaps whoever redesigned this drew it and just coinsidently looks similar to a ear of corn.
