My granddad was a blues man, I got it from him.  Do you know B.B. Kings backstory about Lucille? I'm more than happy to tell you if you don't know.

Ok,

He was performing at a club that had the old-fashioned kerosene heaters.  Two men started fighting and knocked over the heater, and set the club to blaze, everyone had to evacuate the burning building of course, B.B did--initially, but realized he left his guitar in there, he went back in there to retrieve it.  The next day or two later, B.B. learned that the two men were fighting about a women named Lucille.  So, he named his guitar Lucille as two reminders, to never fight about a woman, and to never again walk inside of a burning building.
